Community Guidelines
By playing on our servers, you agree to abide by the following rules. Ignorance of these rules is not an excuse for breaking them.
General Information
1.1 Age Requirement (18+)
Misfits RP is an adult-oriented roleplay community. All members must be 18 years or older. Anyone found to be under 18 will be permanently removed.
1.2 Character Names
Character names must be realistic and lore-friendly. Avoid famous celebrities, politicians, or fictional characters (e.g., Tony Stark, Walter White). Low-effort or meme names are not allowed.
1.3 Animal Peds
Roleplaying as an animal ped requires an application and approval process. This ensures that the roleplay standards of the community are upheld and that the role is used responsibly.
Basic Decency and Respect
2.1 Toxic Behavior
Toxicity, whether in-character (IC) or out-of-character (OOC), that goes beyond roleplay boundaries to intentionally upset, harass, or sabotage other players is not tolerated.
2.2 Harassment
Harassment of any player or staff member is strictly prohibited. Staff are volunteers dedicated to maintaining a fun environment; please respect their time and effort.
2.3 Derogatory Remarks
We have a zero-tolerance policy for slurs, hate speech, or derogatory remarks targeting race, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability. This includes jokes and stereotyping.
Immersion
3.1 Stay in Character
You must remain in character at all times while in-game. Avoid using terms like "the server," "admins," or "lag" during roleplay. Use the appropriate Discord channels for OOC concerns.
3.3 No Baiting
Do not intentionally provoke others into breaking rules or force unrealistic actions simply to spark a rule break. Baiting police (Cop Baiting) without a valid RP reason is also prohibited.
3.5 Clothing & Actions
Clothing and /me actions should remain within the bounds of realism. Avoid immersion-breaking outfits (e.g., masks during serious court scenes) unless relevant to your RP story.
Out of Character (OOC)
4.2 Handling OOC Errors
If an OOC error occurs (e.g., someone uses OOC terms), try to respond in-character to keep the flow. Example: "That sounds like alien talk" or "I don't understand that language."
4.3 Third-Party Comms
Using Discord, Skype, or other apps to share IC information is Metagaming. Use only in-game tools like phones and radios for character coordination.
Restricted Roleplay
5.1 Trigger Roleplay
Roleplay involving highly sensitive or triggering topics such as suicidal ideation, sexual assault, or self-harm is strictly prohibited.
5.4 Erotic Roleplay (ERP)
ERP is only permitted in private settings with explicit consent from all involved parties. Public displays of ERP will result in immediate and permanent removal from the community.
5.5 Win Roleplay (WRP)
Prioritizing "winning" a situation over creating a quality story is discouraged. This includes rushing to shoot-outs to avoid arrest. Embrace the "L" and let the story develop.
Server Mechanics
6.1 Restart Timings
Major criminal activities (heists, large drug runs) must not be initiated within 30 minutes before or after a scheduled server restart to avoid mechanic issues.
9.1 Exploiting & Cheating
Use of hacks, scripts, or exploiting unintended game mechanics is strictly prohibited. Note: Crosshairs are allowed. Using "Third Eye" to see through walls is an exploit.
11.1 Powergaming
Powergaming is using mechanics in ways that aren't possible or forcing actions on others without their input (e.g., /me breaks your arm and you can't fight back). Allow other players a chance to react.
Combat & Crimes
5.1 New Life Rule (NLR)
When you are "downed" and respawn at a hospital, your character forgets the events leading to their death. You cannot return to the scene for 15 minutes or seek revenge for that specific event.
5.2 Hostage & Kidnapping
Hostages cannot be held for more than 1 hour. You must have a clear RP goal for the kidnapping. Using a friend as a fake hostage for a heist is not allowed.
5.3 Value Your Life (VYL)
You must act with self-preservation. If a gun is pointed at your head before your weapon is out, you must comply. Do not fearlessly charge armed groups while unarmed.
8.1 Deathmatch (RDM/VDM)
Random Deathmatch (RDM) and Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) are strictly prohibited. You must have a high-quality RP reason and verbal initiation before engaging in lethal combat.
Player Conduct
6.1 Reporting Violations
Report rule breaks through the #report-player channel or a support ticket. Do not break character in-game to argue about rules. Keep playing and report after the scene.
7.6 Leveral Shanaring (Account Sharing)
Sharing your account with another person to play on the server is prohibited. You are responsible for all actions taken on your account.
10.2 Safe Zone Camping
Hospitals and spawn points are considered OOC Safe Zones for healing and technical setup. Camping these areas to rob or kill players is a bannable offense.
